AX THE SINGER

As a 21-years-old singer-songwriter, producer, mixing engineer and performing artist ax’ main quality can be found in his ability to come up with commercial poppy songs with catchy hooks, meanwhile staying true to this authentic self.  Meanwhile doing so, ax tends to flirt around with Latin American rhythms such as tango, salsa and cha cha, also writing songs in both English and Spanish. 

With his music, ax wants to accomplish the unification of people of all sorts and kinds. As a queer artist himself, he unapologetically and quite literally writes and sings about everyday happenings in his life, them being positive or negative. With this honesty, he’s willing to inspire others that feel like they cannot truly express themselves.

‘real’ is the very first officially released album of ‘ax’. ‘real’ could be called an alternate pop album, cause it contains many different musical influences. Elements of the following genres can be heard: Classical, Country, Trap, Arabic, Latin, Industrial, Dance and Indie. 

But somehow the album still has its particular ‘sound’. 

The album tells of the process love goes through. 

Think about:

• Falling in love with someone 
• Break up of a friendship or relationship and hoping the other still misses it too
• Accepting every relationship will remain a part of you and will form you 
• Anger cause of how people treated you
• Accepting  you and that person don’t fit together at all or at least not anymore 
• Fear you will never find a love or friendship that deep again
• Accepting it’s over and being open for something new
• Fear of abandonment 
• Growing self love
• Losing a loved one

‘real’ is het allereerste officieel uitgebrachte album van ‘ax’. ‘real’ zou je een alternatief popalbum kunnen noemen, want het bevat veel verschillende muzikale invloeden. Elementen van de volgende genres zijn te horen: Klassiek, Country, Trap, Arabisch, Latin, Industrial, Dance en Indie.

Maar op de een of andere manier heeft het album nog steeds zijn specifieke 'geluid'.

Het album vertelt over het proces dat liefde doormaakt.

Denk aan:

• Verliefd worden op iemand
• Verbreken van een vriendschap of relatie en hopen dat de ander het ook mist
• Accepteren dat elke relatie een deel van je blijft en je vormt
• Boosheid m.b.t. hoe mensen je behandeld hebben
• Acceptatie dat jij en die persoon helemaal niet of in ieder geval niet meer bij elkaar passen
• Angst dat je nooit meer zo'n diepe liefde of vriendschap zult vinden
• Accepteren dat het voorbij is en openstaan voor iets nieuws
• Angst voor verlating
• Zelfliefde zien te ontwikkelen
• Een dierbare verliezen
